How do I meet the racers?

Heading to the Iowa Corn 350 and hoping to score some autographs? Here are some handy tips to improve your chances:

• Sponsors and teams often organize driver meet-and-greets, and many are open to all ticket holders. It’s worth checking ahead or asking around once you're on-site.
• While garage and pit areas usually require special access, certain passes or events can get you there. Drivers often walk through the Fanzone on the way to or from their cars – keep a lookout and be ready. Some will stop to sign something or take a quick photo if time allows.
• Most drivers don’t carry giveaways, so come prepared – a hat, shirt, race program, die-cast car, or poster works great. Small, easy-to-carry items are your best bet for quick autographs.
• Race day is hectic. Suppose you get a chance to meet a driver, be friendly, and keep it brief. Avoid interrupting media interviews or team talks. And remember – lines are common at fan events, so a little patience helps a lot!
